Sport 3rd Gear for Passat B5 012 Trans 1998-2000 V6 1.8T

We have found that most 1998 on Passat 5-speeds come stockj with a 3rd gear that is less than ideal ratio-wise. The rev-drop between 2nd and 3rd gears is drastically larger than any other shift in the box. This new factory 3rd gear pair reduces the rev-drop to better keep the car in the powerband all the way through the gears. Stock 3rd gear ratio is 1.300, new sport ratio is 1.429. The Rev drop from 2nd to 3rd goes from 2703 rpm with the stock gear to only 2277 rpm at a 7000 rpm shift. Fits 1998-2000 Passat B5 1.8T and V6 using 5-speed transmissions with codes DHW, DVX, DVZ, or DHY.
